Bio
I'm a creative writer in the way that I write. I hold the pen in this unique and creative way you've never seen. The content which I write... well, it's still to be determined if that's any good.

LATE Late March 2026: 6 Goals Accomplished
Another writing goal accomplished! And I snuck this one in just before March was all done with! This one is labeled as Write 2nd Draft of Script (Gun) because I like writing in halted speech patterns… and I was working with limited space. But to lengthen it out here where I got some extra leg room, the goal was to write the 2nd draft of my script, “Son of a Gun.”

Side Quest Goal Achieved: Placing an Alien Claim. Top Story - March 2026.
This is a post that has me quite ecstatic. It's funny, I thought it was going to be one of my usual, "Hey, I achieved another one of my goals and checked it off" type deals. And it sort of is. But it sort of isn't. And it's also one of my greatest writing accomplishments of late.

Boy Meets Squirrel
What is the line that Hugh Grant says at the beginning of Love, Actually? "Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport." He loves seeing the friends and family members expressing their love for one another after returning from a trip. It's a nice notion. Perhaps, thinking about the airports doesn't help everyone to remove their gloom-- and especially not when thinking about airports in the U.S. in March of 2026-- so, what else could do it?

Late March 2026: 5 Goals Accomplished
To me, it's funny, the nature of publishing your work. The way I do it is, anyway. I send out TONS of stories to TONS of publications all the time. I'm pretty sure I have 57 pending right now... and I have 4 more that I will be sending this week. I'm constantly sending more, getting turned down by places, waiting, writing, sending more, getting turned down more... and then every once in a while... you get the acceptance.

It's early March and I've now accomplished my 4th writing goal for the year of 2026. Before diving into the behind-the-scenes of it... why not tell you up front what that accomplishment was? Mid February 2026: 3 Goals Accomplished
As you can see from the image-- and the title-- I notched my 3rd writing goal for the year of 2026. Late January saw a funny day where I happened to accomplish 2 goals on the same day. It was one goal that I could control, and one that I couldn't... hence them happening on the same day. Midway through February, another one of my goals that I didn't have complete control over was accomplished!

Should We Not Try to Get Too Political?. Top Story - February 2026.
Here's something you often hear people say, "I try not to get too political." I understand the sentiment and I sympathize with it... while at the same exact time, I completely disagree with the notion. Whether it's referring to social media or wherever, it's kind of unavoidable. You can attempt to sidestep it, not engage, leave the less important things for actual politicians to discuss... you can want it to not take over your life, your conversations, your relationships, and that makes perfect sense.

Late January 2026: 2 Goals Accomplished
I had my 22 writing goals heading into the year of 2026, 13 I had total control over, 9 that I did not. I had everything all laid out in the order I wanted to work on it... of course, that is subject to change... but I was ready to go.

2026 Writing Goals
My 2025 Writing Goals went really well, so I'm continuing on to make this a tradition. For my 2025 goals, I wrote down 16 goals. I did not expect to accomplish them all, and I was perfectly OK with that. I didn't even expect to get halfway through. I felt like 5 or more would be good. The idea wasn't necessarily to accomplish them all... if I did, fantastic. The idea was to list out all the goals that I'd like to see myself accomplish, some combination of them. And work towards getting as many as I could.

End of December: 13 Goals Accomplished
It's December 30th... the year is almost over. And I accomplished one more of my writing goals, just in time. Finishing the rough draft of my novel that I was working on (Code Name: Greenies) was a different goal, and I completed that earlier in the year. I knew I'd take a break from it and then come back, so seeing if I could complete the second draft of it was a separate goal. End of December, and I got it.

Published in Portrait of New England. Top Story - December 2025.
My quest to find many publications with prestige to submit to has worked out even better than I thought. I was searching for more publications with more prestige in order to bolster my resume. I truly thought I'd try this for a year and not get published anywhere... maybe if I was lucky... in one of them. And I was OK with that... I was just going to try again the following year, and the year after that, and so on.

New Physical Copy and New Published Story
My endeavor of looking for more literary publications to get published in that held more prestige in order to bolster my resume has been quite successful! One of the publications that I found and got published in back in August was Adelaide Literary Magazine, and I was so happy about that one. It was available online, and they do print versions as well. And recently, I finally got my physical copies of the publication!
