The Road to 500 Stories on Vocal
Since the Spring of 2018, I've written over 400 stories and had six Top Stories on Vocal as of February 2026. Now, I'm focused on achieving another milestone: 500 stories written. Now you're wondering how I could I possibly come up with topics to write about. It's based on personal experiences and events that are happening in the world. The question is will this feat be achievable by year's end? It's a longshot, but not impossible either. I write everything from sports to video games. One of my goals as a writer on Vocal is to encourage everyone to take something away from any story I write. In early 2018, I was at my lowest point in my life. I was going through mental health issues, including a couple of suicide attempts. One day, I went to my local library and was on a computer. I wanted something that'll lift my spirits up a bit. All of a sudden, I discovered something online where I could freely express myself. That site was called Vocal. When I wrote my first story on there, I was automatically hooked. I kept writing more and the rest, as they say, was history.

Tale as Old as Time: The Silver Boot Series 25th Anniversary
Us baseball fans love it when two rival teams go head-to-head with each other. When you think of a rivalry in Major League Baseball, the two teams that automatically come to mind is the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees, which dates back to 1919. However, one rivalry in baseball that tends to get heated every year is between the Texas Rangers and Houston Astros. The Rangers joined the American League West in 1972, the same year they were renamed the Rangers after their move to Arlington from Washington, while the Astros joined in 2013 from the National League West. Fans of their respective teams engage in trash talking, both online and at games. Yours truly has engaged in a few of these exchanges, so I'm not going to pretend that I don't. Both fanbases tend to get heated because of the love and passion for their teams.

Dumbest School Rules Ever
I've been out of school for nearly 20 years, but there were ridiculous rules in school that I thought were ridiculous. In this story, I'll go over a few school rules that were outlandish. If you see a school rule that you didn't see on this list, feel free to comment down below. Also, once you finish reading this story and enjoyed it, please send me a one-off tip down below to show your support for creators like me. That'll encourage me to continue writing new stories.

Best Texas Rangers Uniforms
The 2026 Major League Baseball season has finally begun. 2026 will mark the Rangers 66th year as a franchise and the 55th season in Arlington. The history of the Rangers dates back to 1961 when they were known as the Washington Senators for a decade before moving to Arlington in the Spring of 1972. For nearly 60 years, the Rangers have played at Arlington Stadium and The Ballpark in Arlington before moving into their current home, Globe Life Field in 2020. In this story, I'll be going over some of my favorite Rangers uniforms that captured my attention. I wrote a story last year about my favorite Rangers jerseys that I highlighted. You can read the full story in the link down below. The following entries are not in any particular order.

Wearing 59Fifty MLB Hats Are Cool
Us baseball fans love our respective teams. Win or lose, we still support them. Another thing we love is wearing a hat of our favorite team. According to Hat Club, there are different hat silhouettes, but for the sake of this story, we're only going to focus on the 59Fifty signature fitted hats. Even if you aren't an avid hat collector, the 59Fifty is the most popular option because of how it fits on one's head and flat visor. Many of them have eye-catching designs and attention-grabbing patches on their hats. If you or someone is planning on purchasing a New Era baseball hat for the first time, standard 59Fifty hats cost between $35-$55. The price range on those depend on the team, designs, and special edition collections. Lids is another place that sells 59Fifty fitted hats. In case everyone is curious of what size I wear in fitted caps, it's an 8.

Under the Baseball Microscope: The New York Yankees and Their Postseason Woes
There's no denying that the New York Yankees are one of the most iconic teams in Major League Baseball. They had a plethora of iconic moments and players in their century-plus long history. I've been writing baseball-related topics on Vocal since 2023, and I've shared my mostly brutally honest opinions about anything that had to do with the league. From players to managers, no one was off limits. Whether people agreed with my takes or not, I refused to sugarcoat anything or apologize for telling the truth. Uncomfortable and unpopular truths are a way for people and baseball fans to face reality. In this story, I'll be going over the New York Yankees postseason failures, why they're no longer relevant in the American League East in my opinion, thoughts about Aaron Boone, and ripping a new one on another man named Aaron. If you're easily offended by my harsh takes and being brutally honest, this is your opportunity to exit stage left.

My Visit to the Baseballism Store
Last month, I took a long overdue vacation to my hometown of Arlington, Texas. It was my first time being home in nearly 15 years. I spent a couple of days down there and on the final day, I visited a place that I kept seeing on my social media feeds. That place was called Baseballism. I've bought a couple of items from there, but more about those in a bit. Before I proceed any further, let's learn about the history behind this brand.

Estrangement from My Parents: 15 Years Later. Content Warning.
2011: The year that I decided that enough was enough. I went home for summer break from Job Corps. For context, home was in Texas and I was attending a Job Corps center in Arkansas, nearing completion of my vocational trade, which was Office Administration. I was nearly four months away from graduating. Days before I was scheduled to head back to Job Corps, I felt like the two people who were supposed to love and support me were now focused on their attention towards my two younger siblings (a brother and sister). That was the last time I saw my family. My relationship with my family had been deteriorating for years, even well before I decided to officially distance myself from them.

Celebrating 20 Years of Hannah Montana
Disney Channel had some of the best shows and movies that aired in 2006. However, there was show that would leave a lasting impact for Disney for decades to come. That show was called Hannah Montana. The titular character starred now Grammy award-winning artist and Disney Legend Miley Cyrus. Cyrus received the latter honor in 2024 for her contributions to the company. The streaming platform, Disney+, will air a 20th anniversary special on March 24, exactly two decades to the day the original series premiered. Hannah Montana aired from 2006 to 2011, lasting four seasons and 98 episodes. Miley Cyrus portrayed Miley Stewart, a teenager who had to keep her pop star identity a secret from the public. Only her close family and friends knew her secret identity. In this story, I'll be highlighting some of my favorite Hannah Montana songs. There are four words that describe her songs: inspirational, powerful, emotional, and empowering. In a later story, I'll highlight some of my favorite Hannah Montana episodes. In the meantime, once you've read this story, let me know in the comments section below what are some of your favorite songs from the tv series. Also, what is your favorite Hannah Montana album. Be sure to subscribe to my page on here, follow me on social media, and leave me a generous one-off tip at the end of this story. The following list of songs are not in any particular order.

MLB Opening Day Needs to Become a National Holiday
Opening Day: it's more than just a day off for many of us baseball fans from either school or work. It's a long-standing tradition that means so much to us. If you've been playing hooky from school or work for years in order to watch your favorite team play in person or on TV, good for you. Everyone has done it, so no judgement here. The first Opening Day dates back to 1876 between the Boston Red Caps and Philadelphia Athletics, where 3,000 people were in attendance. The Red Caps won that game with a final score of 6-5. 150 years later, the yearly debate of whether the unofficial holiday of baseball should be official continues.

Fun Times at Globe Life Field: Part 2
Last month, I took a trip to my hometown of Arlington, Texas. It was the first time in nearly 15 years I've been back to the place that I grew up. During the two days I was there, I did some sight-seeing and was highly impressed with how much has changed the last time I was there, which was 2011. On the last day of my trip, I took part in a premium stadium tour at Globe Life Field, the home of the Texas Rangers. It was my first time there and was with a small group of people on the tour. I've discussed the things I've seen during the hour and a half tour in my previous story, which you can read down below. After the tour concluded, I went outside and took even more snapshots. I'll go over some of the images, individually and in collage form.
