The EXplorer
I am a follower of all things Travel and Adventure, my eyes light up at the discovery of a new flight route to Armenia, A camel trek in the Western Sahara or a Windsurfing trip in Naxos. I sometimes discover information about destinations so far removed from any known tourist guides that I cannot even pinpoint them on the world map without tracing the steps of previous explorers with some kind of obsessive desire to find the answers. The thought of the unknown is what drives my spirit of adventure, I leave scribbles and notes in diaries about trips and ideas far into the future, even if they are not viable or I never embark on them, but each idea is what inspires and motivates me to keep taking those steps to find what is over the horizon.

What is a model Human Being Anyway?
Life has a funny way of taking us down different and unexpected pathways and situations which require breaking sometimes even our most heavily sacred boundaries for the sake of survival and progress. I would like to believe I am ethical in my approach to life, but i’ve admittedly had to play the bad guy more than once for my own self preservation.

The Black Statistic
Europeans love statistics, there are whole job sectors dedicated to data driven analysis which covers all aspects of our lives from the way we eat to our shopping habits and how often we shit, if you look down a hole far enough it would be pretty scary as to how much personal data is known about us. I watched a recent documentary about undocumented people in China, and it is sad how there are people in the world today who are simply fighting to prove they actually exist as a result of this.

No Free Worlds
The line between ethical values is a blur by the so called leaders of the "free world" we have seen actions recently from world leaders which would suggest how being morally ambiguous is the only real playing card to pursue self perceived ideals of peace and globalisation under whichever interpretation they choose under their own terms. The free world doesn't necessarily equate to having a collective choice on how we interpret and shape the rules of freedom outside the sphere of an already heiriarchal and outdated diplomatic system which seems to benefit only those at the top of the economic ladder aka the original designers so to speak of the free world, ironically the original colonisers and destroyers of freedom.

Reckoning
An interesting thing happened to me the other day, I recalled a memory and a time which I believe I’ve been subconsciously trying to block out of my mind, and the truth of the matter is, I’ve been successful in doing so not because I’ve been unwilling to retell how I lived my life through those times, but because many people have an almost unsworn guarded secrecy to open it up in conversation and talk about what transpired for them during this period, I’m talking about COVID.

Love Divided
I was scrolling through my emails recently when I noticed an interesting article posted by users on Quora entitled ”why do Men struggle mentally in relationships” normally like most people I take a quick glance and the email is confined to the bin, however something about this post captured my intrigue so I decided to take a look further, also to unashamedly see if I could draw comparisons to my own life and experiences. Then, out of surprise, I found a comment which threw me off guard, a topic rarely even discussed out in the open. The comment highlighted how racial differences can become the defining factor in mixed relationships which cause mental health issues.

When the topic of immigration is mentioned here in the United Kingdom, I throw a diamond spanner in the conversation. The most influential being of all time who shapes the lives of billions of individuals was a refugee, facing the very same struggles in an attempt to seek belonging, peace and acceptance in a land of unfamiliarity and hostility.

Today, Tomorrow
I had a moment recently where I contemplated what is even genuine anymore in the digital space. Humans were bound to be predictable in our unethical use of AI, I cannot think of any popular user generated platform online that has not been exploited or oversaturated in one way or another. Money, power and dominance are the pillars of society, so it is no surprise the rapid development of AI coincides with the human condition.
