The Last Bite
For Paul and John's 47-Words Short Story Unofficial Challenge.
Dad brought home extra meat and said it was cheap. It tasted fine, just sweeter than usual. A week later, missing posters went up. Last night, I found a fingernail in my steak. I heard footsteps upstairs, and he whispered, “Did you finish everything on your plate?”

Side Quest Goal Achieved: Placing an Alien Claim

Ohhh this reminded me of that German guy who later on in prison became a vegetarian ... after his previous eating habits. The finger nail was a nice detail. :D
