Fast Fashion is Killing Our Planet
If you're anything like me, you have a closet full of clothes. Although, I don't actually have a closet. Instead, I have dressers and containers overflowing with clothes. Some of them are high-quality items I've had for years. Others...not so much. But regardless of whether it’s your closet or something else overflowing, you’ve likely got at least a few pieces that would qualify as “fast fashion.”

Hippie Clothes and Fast Fashion
I have seen many fashion trends come and go in my time. I was born on the cusp of the dungaree trend and remember wearing flashy and glittery scrunchies in my hair as a child. I grew up in the era of skinny jeans, emos and the post-punk phase that was the ‘scene’ culture. And yes, I had the hair to go with it. But I have never really looked at a trend with so much disdain as I have looked at the fast-fashion hippie trend because I feel that though it looks pretty good - it is a tad bit ironic, isn’t it? Let’s see why.

Why I'm Not Buying New Clothes in 2021
In 2008, I was an empty-pocketed teenager lured by the temptations of fast fashion. The country's biggest Primark had just opened in my city, and despite instantly falling into hate with the experience of shopping there - it was permanently rammed with customers - the concept of £10 outfits delighted me.

Consumer Economy
Written by Leon Zadok - December 17, 2020 Why do I have all these clothes? This morning, I opened up my closet and thought, “Why do I have so much stuff - too much stuff?” I hadn’t worn some things. I had rarely worn others. Yet, I had such a volume of cloth spewing about the place.

How Tweed Has Stood The Test of Time
Tweed's history dates back to 18th century Scotland where the term was actually coined accidentally in 1826 due to a misread label. The label read 'tweel', which was coincidentally worn by gentlemen shooting or fishing near the river Tweed. Tweed has since become a classic Scottish material that is known all over the world.
