The Angels Tear

Step up to the end of the road

Carry with ye what only what you must

Let go of that stubborn and indestructible survival mode

While the blade is cleared of all the rust

--

Twas some time ago when this was last used

Under a different time, it was much more common to see

Some claimed that the machine was overly abused

But that will no longer matter to people after thee

--

Loaded down and heavy is your burden

But it soon shall be freed from your shoulders my friend

To carry such things until the end leave you hurting

Rest your wearing soul, for you're near the end

--

The final words of solice are thrust upon those such as you

As the guides push you to your knees

Seeing the final resting spot, lay your head is all you can do

And prepare to be the spectacle that all will see

--

Think not of those you leave behind in this world so hard

Remember those fonder times in your mind

From being young kids playing with glee in the back yard

To proving to the world, hard was your kind

--

Memories carried of unrequainted love

Those soft words that you once spoke in the night

Set them free on the wings of the snowy white dove

You've seen that last of that strength and internal fight

--

The harm to your soul has been noted in the stars

The credo of marching into the valley of that shadowy place

Today, it is your time to unleash all those things causing scars

And release your spirit into the winds, and your heart to space

--

Breath deeply and the drummers rhythm grows to a fevered pace

See that one last earthly memory that gives you a smile

Let the edges stretch your lips across your weary and beaten face

You'll see what's next, in just a short while

--

Calm your spirit and rest

For this is not the end

But when a dream dies

Is when the angels cry, my friend
