Stargate To ATLANTIS
Cold water from a public shower always flows from the faucet, no matter the time of day or season. Winters are worse. I used to hate cold showers, until I saw a Hindu Guru online discussing the benefits of showering with “water cooler than the air around us.” The cool water not only is better for your skin, cells and pores, but also can positively alter your mood. And yes, he was right. As the cool water began to tap at the apex crown of my head, a surge of electrical synapses instantly triggered an aura energy which blankets my soul with overwhelming calm and inner peace.

The Marigolds Sing
Meryll is not her usual self. The sparkle in her light amber-colored eyes is eclipsed by a sunken, hollow longing of sorts. Deep, dark, sorrowful. Almost listless, in a trance of memories. She’s dyed her hair a lighter blonde, snipped it into a bob just like mine. So perfect in the way her new haircut is cupping her porcelain, chiseled cheeks. I've never seen a woman be so striking in her misery. Always entranced by sorrow. Body so slender and fragile. Eyes always so desperate in the way she so achingly yearns to be loved.

The Pledge
“I pledge my life and allegiance to the National Political Societal Economic Elite Council. As we abide by the sovereignty it provides, we embrace that we are born to serve. Dutifully shall we sacrifice ourselves if it enables the survival of the few most High, whom allow me to live my life in protection, assurance and fulfillment of my life’s sole purpose.”

The Mendel
‘What’s wrong with your beefmeat, Fy?’ Fjonn stared glumly at his untouched plate, ‘I’m not hungry.’ ‘He’s yucked out from the Museum!’ Aelza piped up, helpfully. ‘They showed us beefmeat from thousands ago – actual animal flesh!’ The thought didn’t seem to deter her, tucking fervently into her own perfectly marbled slab. Fjonn turned pale.

Recharge
The Traveler eyed his destination coming into view, a lage, 4 story, Victorian style home, situated high in the mountains, its large, overgrown palatial estate surrounded by woods. There was nothing this developed for miles, just a few smaller, broken down shacks, long since abandoned and overtaken by nature.

Memories
Deep within the secretive caves of Nirvana, within a communal habitat, created and fashioned over decades by the Organics sat a skinny little boy in a stone chiselled-out dome-shaped space labelled ‘learning arena’. The trees surrounded the perimeter with high beamed lights standing, glaring over each one like a protective sentinel, the roots of the trees in large pots as the non-porous stone floor far beneath the surface gave little give to nature. The light from the surrounding periphery flood lights cut a series of shadows around all the children in a series of directions.

The Locket
The locket. A rather typical locket. Quite uninteresting or unique its veneer. With its silver colored metal and heart shaped door, lack of engravings or design to catch the eye. No. It is just a heart shaped mass of metal at first glance. The cordiform door opens only to expose the metallic void inside, a void filled with banality.

"Sophia" the AI Machine;
So... "Sophia" is a VERY interesting topic that I and many of my colleagues, friends and fellow writers have been following for quite sometime now, as we as a society are finally broaching into the age of Cyberpunk 2020 . Since "her" creation roughly about 4 ish years ago, she has become a topic of deep introspection within regards to both her role, her "species" type, (As many believe she is in fact not a ROBOT, but a type of Synthetic, or "Synth", like Fallout presents it, while others believe she is more of a first wave of "Android" or "Gynoid" if we want to be more gender specific), definition of "Gender" / "sex", and even more so some of the conversations she has had with other people regarding humanity as a whole. One key thing, however, is that early on she was using a system of deep learning algorithms akin to the "Deep mind" project, but some say, more tailored after the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's AI "Edd Hifeng", that was programmed into the then popular online Sand box game, 'Second Life' at the time in 2008.
