Kely wasn’t born from a plan, a literary concept, or the intention to craft a strong character. She appeared the way certain encounters do in life: without warning, without logic, yet with a troubling sense of inevitability. At first, I thought she would be nothing more than a narrative vessel, an excuse to explore a world that was freer, more sensual, more unapologetic.

The Life I Might Have Lived
Would my life be better if I didn't drop out of high school? If I didn't take SSRIs and Zyprexa as a teen? If I worked hard to learn and refine my craft (or crafts) from the beginning instead of wasting my time on infatuations, lies, anger, politics, etc?
