Interview of Harold Barlow part three
When he woke up that morning, Howard got ready for the event. Being quiet to keep from waking up his youngest son. Not wanting him to be drowsy before his next shift. Going downstairs, he headed to the kitchen and started making breakfast for himself and his daughter. Howard wanted Melanie to be well fed before the event. Making Melanie’s favorite cheese omelet with bacon and hashbrowns. Along with starting to make some coffee so that she would wake up faster. As it takes her a longer time than it does him.

A Lonely Future. Top Story - November 2024.
It’s the year ‘2050’ and I never thought I would get this far. My transition has gone from a gel. To injections. To this strange patch thing they invented. One that makes things interesting slash uncomfortable. It costs a lot more than the injections had ever cost me. But what can you expect without insurance?

A Wolf Alone in the Field
I have always loved Winter nights. The cold, the snow, and the lack of people out at night. Something that I’ve found to be a good thing and a bit of a hinderance at the same time. But that is a thing to dwell on later. Right now, the most pressing thing was what I saw during my walk. A young man with curly red hair was walking through the snow. Normally, that wouldn’t draw my attention to this young man. What drew my attention to him was the ragged clothing that he was wearing. It looked like he wasn’t wearing shoes.

To The Loving Father Figure
Dear Grandpa, You are the biggest parental figure in my life. You may not be my father, but you were a father for me. And I felt so loved by you. No matter what was going on, you made me feel like I mattered. Doing things for me that I appreciate to this day. Even though I didn’t really appreciate them as much as I should when I was a kid.

Because I Love You eight
Not that long later, Papa came back to his bedroom door. Unlocking the door with a huge creepy smile on his face. Rhys wished that he would be allowed to eat in his room. To eat by himself for once in his stay. And that Papa wasn't so observant as he stared at his face. Looking so worried about why his eyes were red, as it was very clear that he had been crying for a while. But, he didn't push the issue as he took Rhys's hand. Smiling ear to ear as he asked,"You ready to eat, baby?"

Despite the various ways he tried, nothing got Emmett to speak to him. Or got him to cheer up in the slightest bit. Something that was kind of bugging Rhys if he were being truly honest with himself. Rhys wasn't entirely sure why it would be. In fact, Emmett's silence should have been seen as a good thing. Yet, this treatment was really bothering him.

Running through the woods without shoes or socks wasn't wise. Then again it was better than wasting time trying to find them. Or demand Emmett give him either. That would probably have ended in a lot of questioning from the older man. Stuff that he knew better than to answer honestly. And knowing full well that if he didn't that the older man would have been really upset with him. Then there would be a lot of pain for lying and trying to escape the older man. Which was something that he will be getting if that bastard caught up with him. All of this was stuff that Rhys didn't want to think of at all. What he desperately wanted was just to go back to his apartment.

The game itself wasn't too difficult to learn. Just take a card and move the number of spaces on it. Or go to where it says to. Simple. Very simple and a little on the boring side. Rhys didn't really mind it in the slightest bit. It was sort of a welcome distraction from the situation at hand. This wouldn't entirely distract him. He supposed that it was better than doing absolutely nothing.

Nearing the room, Emmett insisted Rhys close his eyes. Even going so far as to tell him to put a hand over his eyes. All of which felt over the top in his book. But, it was something that Rhys quickly complied with. Somewhat fearing what would happen if he didn't. Closing his eyes then covering them with his free hand. Still somewhat afraid of what was in store for him. Feeling that it would be something freaky or gross. Chewing the inside of his cheek as the older man walked him into the room. A few seconds later, the older man stated,"Okay, my love. You can put your hand down and open your eyes."

Because I Love You two
The next morning, Rhys woke up to someone gently nudging his stomach. It was a flat hand on him along with lips being pressed to his forehead. Reminding him vaguely how someone would wake him up when he was much younger. For a few seconds, he stayed utterly still on the bed. Not opening his eyes as he tried to understand what exactly was going on. Who was touching him and just what for. Then the person whispered,"Good morning, my love. Time to get up and have some breakfast."

Because I Love You one
The first thing that Rhys was made aware of was the fact he couldn't see. Then the fact that his arms were tied above his head. And his legs were tied to what he guessed were bed posts. There was also a bit of tape over his mouth. He wasn't entirely sure how he ended up like this. Or how it happened. While the young man laid there, he thought over last night in his mind. Last night, he got off work from the gas station around one A.M. Rhys had been biking home wearing his normal gear. A bike helmet, safety vest, and had his normal lights on his bike. He'd been biking down the street for at least ten minutes and then...then...nothing...there was nothing else that he could actually recall. No matter how hard he tried to. His gut twisted as he laid there on what he guessed was a bed. Unsure of why or what he was doing there. Whatever the reason was, he hoped he wouldn't die.
