Chancellor Jeremy Hunt was retained by new Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. Jeremy Hunt is a stalwart of being in cabinet. He held the position of Health Secretary and has stood to be the leader going up against Truss and Sunak.

With the rise to power of Rishi Sunak, it seems Conservative members are voting with their feet. The Tory membership did not get a vote this time around in the internal election for the Tory leader. So instead, they are resigning in droves according to Tory member Sean Matthews. Mr. Matthews has been a field worker for the Tories and President of his local Conservative association.

Sir Keir Faces Rishi.
At the moment the Labour party is riding high in the polls. If there was a general election the Conservatives would be all but obliterated. Labour has enjoyed a lead in the polls for some time now. When Liz Truss and Chancellor Kwarteng delivered the mini-budget many saw how unfair it was. It was scrapped apart from the odd detail by Chancellor Jeremy Hunt. Hunt was brought in by Truss to stabilize the financial markets after Kwarteng was sacked by Truss. When Rishi Sunak became Prime Minister he retained Mr. Hunt as Chancellor. It is thought that Sunak and Hunt will delay any budget statement for now as the two of them discuss it.

China is a power both economically and militarily. It is the United State's biggest rival in the 21st Century. Russia is a rival but not on the scale of China. China has a formidable military and is certainly a regional power. It harbours global ambitions to be a power on the scale of the United States.

Nicola Sturgeon: Truss is Arrogant and Igorant.
Nicola Sturgeon and her Scottish Nationalist administration have been in power for 15 years. In that time in 2014 Scotland voted to stay in the UK and the UK left the EU. Answerable to Westminister Scotland now has a greater degree of autonomy. However, the idea of Scotland being a sovereign nation and rejoining the EU still burns bright.
