The Goblin
Mr. Moore finished roll call and signaled to the bus driver to go. The bus started to move. Doug Barnes slipped on his head phones and turned on his Walkman. The year was 1998. He shut his eyes and got lost in the rock music playing in his ear phones. The bus hit a pothole and jostled everyone temporarily. Doug grumbled under his breath. If there was one thing Doug could not stand it was a long bus ride. This particular bus ride was going to last two hours.

Halloween Ends
Michael Myers can never look weak. Halloween fans reject this mantra as they reject this with the current Halloween Ends. Laurie should never have over powered Michael. If you are not a complete dumbass you noticed Michael was overpowering Cory; then he finally tripped and fell. I maintain Michael let Cory take the mask. You have to tell us Michael allowed Cory to take the mask. Michael got fucked up by an entire town in Halloween Kills only to slaughter half the fucking town. It also needed to be revealed that Michael was only pretending to be as weakened as he was when Michael killed Cory. This should have been a realization, that he chose hate and carnage over love and healing. An overbearing mother, a town turning you into their boogeyman, and being bullied sucked plenty. It was quite understandable why Cory was upset. However, he was shown plenty of love by his stepfather Ronnie and Allyson. Laurie even helped Cory stand up to the bullies.

Where Magic
Mrs. Periwinkle plucked a ripe apple from the tree and tossed it in her basket. She took the apples and headed inside. She mashed up a couple of apples and concocted her own apple cider. Next, she sat under her apple tree and read from her book of poetry. The bluebirds in the sky chirped their happy songs for her. Her brawny husband Sam came into sight. He waved at her and smiled warmly. “Greetings my love,” he said. “How do you do my sweet,” she asked. “Labor is long and hard but seeing your face makes it all worthwhile,” he confessed. “Your flattery knows no bounds,” Mrs. Periwinkle said. He bent down and kissed her cheek.“You make me blush as if I was a school girl again,” she confessed. From her crystal ball watched a woman equally as beautiful as Lorna Periwinkle. However, she is ugly in her heart. She grimaced as she watched this mushy scene. She turned to her pet raven named Midnight and said,“Don’t it make you sick?” “Someone’s jealous?” Midnight retorted. Storm, the witch’s black cat rubbed against her leg. The witch was named Sienna Cedar. She bent down and petted her cat. “Why can’t you be sweet like Storm?” she asked. “He’s only nice to you because you feed him,” Midnight squawked. “Can I eat the bird now?” Storm asked licking his lips. “You wouldn’t dare, tuna breath,” Midnight said. “Graveyard lurcher,” Storm shot back. “That’s enough you two,” Sienna said. “we’re a family; we shouldn’t fight.” The cat and the raven grumbled.

The Mansion
The rain beat against the mansion. A pair of headlights cut through the rain. The limo pulled into the driveway. The chauffer opened the door and out stepped Barbara Homestead, a reporter for the Supernatural Tattler.” She wore simple attire: a blue blouse, brown jacket, blue jeans, and brown platform shoes. She was a woman of her time and that time was the 1990’s. The year was officially 1995. Vietnam had just ended. The date was October 1st. She needed plenty of time before Halloween to get her story published. She used the garage door knocker and waited for a reply. She heard footsteps on linoleum.

Sadie Sunshine
Sadie Sunshine always had a smile on her face and she lived in the magic village of Emerald Springs. The houses changed their colors based on the holiday. On Valentine’s Day houses would change to blue, white, or red. On Easter the houses are robins’ egg blue or bright yellow. They would be red, white, and blue on the fourth of July. They turn orange and black for Halloween. On Christmas the houses would turn not only red or green, some of them become blue or white to look like frozen ice crystals. The sheen of a crystal blue or white house in the winter time looked so pretty that remembering them filled Sadie’s heart with joy.

One Night
Rain pelted the window. Jessica Spring sighed. She heard a knock on the door. She answered and met the most gorgeous man she ever met in her life. He wore a white suit with a red shirt underneath. His white tie contrasted nicely with the vibrant red shirt.

In the Dark
Icy blue eyes stared at me through the darkness. The fact that I could see these eyes so clearly in the darkness sent shockwaves up my eleven-year-old spine. I had just woken up from a rather intense nightmare, incidentally about some creep that was watching me at the foot of my bed. ‘’I can see you,’’ I whispered.

The House
A punk with spiky blonde hair snuck into a child’s bedroom and stuck a broken broom handle in his forehead. The child’s body was found a couple of hours later by his father. That was twenty years ago. A mother and her two young daughters Emily and Julie, were currently living in that home now. The address was 323 Washington Street and it was known around town as the Murder House. Kids would tease each other and dare each other to ring the doorbell on Halloween night. No kids would ever take the bait. This would win them the pleasure of merciless hazing from their friends.

Why Vocal is Goated
Vocal is an extremely underrated writing platform. I love writing short fiction. Writing short fiction and the six hundred minimum word count for Vocal stories is a perfect platform to publish my short stories. I was not sure about Vocal at first but once I received my first payment from them, I was hooked. I was a bit annoyed at first because of the 35 dollars withdrawal minimum threshold. My biggest saving grace was top story bonuses. The bonuses were five dollars a pop. Seven Top Stories and I was ready to cash out. I withdrew my cash to stripe on December 22nd. I was hoping to have the money by Christmas but did not receive the money in my bank account until after the holidays. While I was annoyed not to get the money until after Christmas; I was able to start the New Year getting paid to write. It started my year off right.

The Hollywood Assassin
The crowd roared as The Crusher jumped off the steel cage and delivered a devastating double ax handle to the back of Jim Connors. The Crusher pinned Jim. The cage raises and out comes The Hollywood Assassin, C-Rob. He is stacked and handsome. He wore blue jeans, black boots, and a long black trench coat. He also wore dark sunglasses and a dark bandana. He gripped the microphone.
