Control is an Illusion
The princess had all she ever wanted right within her grasp. Power, control - a crown. It pulsated a supernatural force against her skin, like the crashing of a wave against a rocky shore, or the anxious thrumming of an unsteady heartbeat. It was a thing of metal and blood to be placed over her eyes, as was custom, to ensure her divine right to rule was preserved forevermore.

Your Poetry: Reimagined Contest Results
Only four people submitted to this contest ( five if you count the one that dropped out ) so I decided there wouldn't be any 'runner's up' placements as it would seem pretty awkward to be the only one. This means all four contestants are coming away with $10 at the very least just for submitting a piece.
