Silence. Top Story - June 2024. Content Warning.
I don’t remember the day the world ended. But I do remember the day I noticed. That photo was it, but I did not know what it meant until I sat in my darkened bathroom, staring at the newly developed film. The street was neither empty, nor abandoned. It was dead. The colours of the flowers wrapped in that red ribbon caught my eye, and as I crouched to take that photo, I could hear only the lonely silence of a graveyard after dark.

All The World. Content Warning.
“The theatre, the theatre, what has happened to the theatre?” - Danny Kaye, “Choreography,” White Christmas 1954 -0- Legend had it that the performance I observed was the first ever recorded with omni-directional camera technology. It would go a ways to explain why the actors always held a prop of some kind. And showing true ingenuity, each prop was meticulously chosen to fit each character. Glorious Dead. Content Warning.
“For I parted then with valiant men…” - The Foggy Dew, An Irish Revolutionary Song -0- Far out into the hills, pipes began to call their lingering, mournful dirge. In perfect time, the call and response of the pipes and the hills melded and blended together until the pipes themselves were lost in their own echoes. Until the very hills and valleys seemed to sing a lament of their own.

Wolves of Revolution. Content Warning.
“But you see, it’s not me. It’s not my family...” - Zombie, by the Cranberries -0- Grinding against ribs, the knife carried a drowning torrent of blood in its wake. The body of a young man fought against the inevitable. Limbs spasmed, fingers clawed impotently behind him, desperately trying to preserve themselves even as his airflow steadily choked off.

Don't Tell Him. Top Story - December 2025. Content Warning.
“I took my gun and vanished...” - The Partisan, as sung by Leonard Cohen -0- Dear mom, I’m sorry that you have to hear about my going in any way but from my own lips. If I had waited to tell you, if I had waited until you awoke, you might have talked me out of it. Talked some sense into my damned fool head, made me stay at home. Stay where I would be warm and safe and fed.
