Visible versus invisible

A poem

Who decides about it

what will we read today?

Is there any point of reference

according to which

we all know the value

of someone else’s work?

Isn’t visibility that decides

how many reads will you have

today

to date?

Where have you been?

Who did you meet?

What did you do, say, or write?

And when you seized the source

of inspirations of all sorts ?

And why do you do what you do?

People with pets, kids, cars, vacations

attract more attention

than individuals living without

due to extremely poor or lonely conditions?

Is it not that we all write at the same level

only the frequency of appearances

here and there

keeps as afloat or withdrawn

from the main course on the public platform

living an equally justly worthwhile life?

Shame that not everyone will find out about it
