Saddle Up Anyway

lyric

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished about 19 hours ago 1 min read

Verse 1

Dust on my boots and fear in my chest

The sun’s sinking low putting me to the test

The wind carries warnings I’m not ready to hear

But my hands find the reins

As I ride through the fear

Chorus

So I saddle up anyway

With fire burning in my gut

Come hell…

Come what may

Trouble will always blows in

But I'm too strong to bend

And when darkness runs deep

His Faith I will keep

Cuz strength is the only choice

You must saddle up anyway

Verse 2

Life’s journey runs long and the dust bites my heels

But the saddle sits firm and it shows me what is real

The stars hold their distance

My breath runs short and shallow

Each step forward proving I’m still in the fight

Chorus

So I saddle up anyway

With fire burning in my gut

Come hell…

Come what may

Trouble will always blows in

But I'm too strong to bend

And when darkness runs deep

His Faith I will keep

Cuz strength is the only choice

You must saddle up anyway

Bridge

The night may be dark

But my spirit stays bright

Each stumble’s a lesson

Each fall worth the fight

I let fear win

If I never even try

So I lift my head high and let doubt roll on by

Chorus

So I saddle up anyway

With fire burning in my gut

Come hell…

Come what may

Trouble will always blows in

But I'm too strong to bend

And when darkness runs deep

His Faith I will keep

Cuz strength is the only choice

You must saddle up anyway

So, saddle up anyway
