City Tale

I find the city repulsive

For my taste that was once flattering

More sophisticated preferences

Enclosed in the shape of a pearl

Yet what is flavour compared to life?

A sheer shadow from the blinds

Transposing the true image of it

Into a vague philosophy

Of one human being

Whose efforts are underestimated

By society bred on scraps

From the stumbled steps

Of the aristocracy

With a stye in the eye

To add some spice to this

Omnium-gatherum

Of menagerie and herbarium

In perfect unison

Of the things left at rest

In improper waste haste

Happening every day

In this real estate
