Lately, my Spotify go to songs have been from the Ladies of Lilith Fair, so Lilith has been in my head. I don't feel like this is my final draft, but I am stuck. Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

**********************************************************************

Born of the same clay,

Lilith stood beside Adam—

equal in shape, thought, and being.

Why should she bow?

The garden gleamed with golden light.

Because she would not kneel

in a man’s shadow,

Lilith was banished.

The god of Eden raged:

“Return or be cursed!”

Lilith chose succubus,

her fury forged from his fear.

Later, Eve tasted the fruit,

shared it with Adam,

knowledge spreading like fire.

Both were chased out,

hands empty, worlds unstitched.

Perhaps the garden was never a home,

but a cage woven of command and control.

Lilith and Eve found their escape routes—

rebellion sweeter than paradise.

Lilith finally gets a voice and a choice! I really like the last two lines.
