Smoke and Mirrors

Standing beside myself

Lost somewhere between,

Love and hate

Don’t quite understand our situation

And I’m unable to digest what’s been thrown upon my plate

Because yesterday everything was fine

Then in a blink it all changed

We went from laughter and love

To hatred and pain

And you say it’s my fault

But I could always tell when you lied.

Your hiding some dark secret

I can see the truth behind your eye’s

But does it really matter?

Truth be told I don’t really care

Because I realize now that I always loved you

But you were never really there

Our love was but a figment of imagination;

A particle in air.
