i wish i was wrong

#

By KomalPublished 18 days ago 1 min read

i wish

my gut feeling lied…

my doubts

were just overthinking…

my eyes

misread the vision…

my intuition

was bad at predictions…

my heart never

jumped to conclusions…

my mind

stopped thinking too much...

i wish

every signal was noise

because the truth is…

I’d rather look foolish

than realize

I was right all along.

About the Creator

Komal

I write poems and stories that hit the feels.

When I’m not lost in my own plots, I’m either daydreaming about the next big idea or just winging life with a grin.

  • Well-wrought, Komal. The most difficult situations do tend to be those where our hopes are destined to be dashed by reality, but Hope, as Dickinson wrote, is just an innocent little bird. We can listen to its song and take heart from its beauty, even where reality doesn't live up to its chirpy vision. Here's hoping you're in for pleasant surprises!

Oh no….this is so sad and very powerful. We've all been there, sadly, at some time. Great job and congrats on the Leaderboard, Komal! This one is very true to your profile: "I write poems and stories that hit the feel."

Oh my goodness this is amazing. Genuinely wow. Intuition never lies it only changes shape when we ignore it.

I've been there before. Sometimes being right is the worst outcome.

This reads like an unwanted thought that tugs at the fringes of an unraveling mind. Very relatable. Beautifully done. ❤️

Been there... this is a sad second-guessing. ❤️ I think most of us are overthinkers and over analyze everything 😬✨🌺 Hugs to you 💚☘️🌷

  • Powerful. I certainly relate! ⚡️💙 Bill⚡️

Definitely an overthinker myself-an analyst by nature

This is very relatable. Us writers tend to overthink and over analyze.

Komal, why do we feel guilty knowing the truth and what's about to happen before it does?

  • Sam Spinelli18 days ago

Wow that’s quite a mood. There are things I wish I were wrong about too, so I can relate on some level, but your poem has a deeply personal feel to it. Well told Komal!
