Relaxing beach retreats in Vietnam to explore

Think emerald waters, long stretches of golden sands, and tourist-friendly destinations with high vibes. Welcome to Mui Ne, Vietnam’s charming beach resort town, where you can find an abundance of things to do other than simply unwinding in the sands. Check out these tips to have an enchanting beach vacation in Vietnam.
Ideal time to visit Mui Ne for a beach vacation
The most convenient time to visit Mui Ne is from January to April. This is the time when you get clear skies and calm waters. These make way for the perfect setting to engage in swimming and watersports like scuba diving and snorkelling with excellent visibility. For activities like kitesurfing, you may place your stay between December and April as these are the months in which the best weather conditions can be found.
Rainy weather prevails in the area between May and October. Frequent rainy spells can also be found in July and August. These are not the best times to actually have your beach stay, even though cheaper deals can be located.
How to get there
Get off your flights at Tan Son Nhat International Airport if you wish to reach Mui Ne. This is the closest and largest major airport there, with flights serving more than 100 destinations across over 30 nations. Non-stop passenger flights head for around 90 destinations, while there are also about 19 domestic routes that these flights take.
You can book a taxi or even hire a vehicle and then take the journey on the road to Mui Ne. A more cost-effective option you can use is to take a sleeper bus. However, this takes around five hours to reach your destination. A train ride to Binh Thuan Station is another way to navigate to the location. This also provides scenic views, but you will have to take a vehicle to Mui Ne from there.
Top beaches you can visit
The beach you wish to frequent in Mui Ne depends on what you want to experience there. You get a blend of resort relaxation, enthralling watersports and picturesque coastal areas to inspect at this location. Rang Beach is the main beach in this area. This is a great place to head out to if you are in search of soft, white sand that stretches to around seven kilometres, blue waters and coconut palm trees lined near the shores. It is also located near a traditional fishing village, which allows you to get a taste of local culture by wandering near the fishing community and inspecting their lifestyle, boats and tasting the local seafood.
Anantara Mui Ne Resort has a private beach that encompasses a long stretch of pristine sands. Therefore, they offer amenities like beach volleyball games. Other beaches which you can add to your list include Hon Rom Beach, Suoi Nuoc Beach, and Ong Dia Stone Beach.
What to do at the places
One of the most popular things to do in Mui Ne is to enjoy wind-driven watersports. Therefore, activities like kitesurfing, kiteboarding, windsurfing, sailing and stand-up paddleboarding can be experienced from October to March as this is the time when the best wind conditions prevail at the destination. Windfoiling is a newly introduced wind-based activity which you might like to try your hand at. Jet skiing and kayaking are also within reach if you wish to experience a variety of water-based activities.
The long stretches of sand there are the perfect place for sunbathing. You can also relax and catch up on some reading. Families can have a good time playing on the sand with a ball or building sandcastles. If you head for the Red Sand Dunes or White Sand Dunes, you can also engage in some ATV quad biking ventures. Sliding down the dunes can also be fun for those who wish to engage in sandboarding. Spend your whole day at the beach and enjoy a dazzling sunset before heading back to your accommodation. Beachfront restaurants located close by also offer various dining options. Seafood is in abundance there, so you may like to sink your teeth into some delicious dishes like Lau Tha (special fish hotpot), one-sun-dried squid, grilled squid teeth, grilled lobster, and garlic-butter scallops.
