2026 So Far: A Little Progress, A Little Chaos, A Lot of Thinking

Not everything is clear or perfect but, something is changing and I can feel it.

There's something strange about how quickly a year begins to feel real.

One minute, it's January.

Fresh energy, clear intentions and a sense that this time, things will finally align.

Then suddenly, it's already months in and life has quietly rewritten parts of your plan without asking.

And then, you pause.

Not because everything is falling apart but because everything feels different from what you imagined.

Some seasons don't come with answers, they come with awareness.

So I want to use this opportunity to outline some aspects of this season that stood out for me.

A little progress, even when it doesn't look like it

If I'm being honest, 2026 hasn't been a bad year.

There has been progress; not really loud, visible or post-worthy progress.

It's been the kind you feel internally like;

Showing up when I didn't feel like it.

Doing the work even when motivation wasn't there.

Choosing discipline over comfort again and again.

And yet, there are days it doesn't feel like progress at all because progress in real life doesn't always come with clear signs.

Sometimes it looks like repeating the same effort.

Sometimes it feels like standing still.

Other times, it feels like you're doing everything and nothing is moving at all.

Not all growth is visible. Some of it is happening quietly within you.

---

A little chaos (the kind no one talks about)

Then there's the chaos.

Not dramatic chaos or the kind that breaks everything.

But the subtle kind that lives in your thoughts.

Too many ideas, too many directions and too many "what ifs."

Moments where everything feels possible and at the same time, nothing feels clear.

You start something.

 Then you rethink it.

Then question whether it was the right thing to start at all.

It's not confusion because you're lost.

It's confusion because you're growing, steadily.

Growth can feel like chaos when your mind outgrows your current path.

A lot of thinking (maybe more than necessary)

If there's one thing 2026 has brought a lot of, it's thinking.

I'm a deep thinker. I'm the kind that doesn't just stay on the surface.

I'm constantly thinking about direction, about purpose and about what actually matters beyond just being busy.

Because let's be honest, being busy is easy but being intentional is harder.

And somewhere along the way, I started asking myself questions I didn't ask before:

Is this aligned with the life I actually want for myself?

Am I building something meaningful or just staying occupied?

What would I choose if I wasn't afraid of starting over anytime?

Those questions don't always come with immediate answers.

But they change you in ways you may not notice initially.

The questions you avoid today often shape the life you live tomorrow.

The part no one posts about

We see a lot of highlights online.

Wins, announcements and all kinds of achievements.

But, we rarely see the middle, the in-betweens.

The in-between space where:

things are still unclear

plans are still forming, filled with doubts and uncertainty

confidence comes and goes

That space feel uncomfortable sometimes because it doesn't look like success yet.

But I'm starting to realize something important:

That middle space is where most of the real growth happens.

Learning to sit with "not knowing"

One of the hardest things I've had to accept this year is this:

Not everything will make sense immediately.

Maybe it's not even supposed to.

Sometimes you move first and understanding comes later.

Sometimes you try different things and clarity follows the experience, not the other way around.

Sometimes, you just have to trust that even the uncertain steps are leading somewhere.

Clarity doesn't always come before the step. Sometimes it comes because you took it.

---

A softer way I look at progress now

I think I'm starting to redefine what progress means to me.

Right now, it's not just just outcomes or achievements.

But things like:

becoming more aware of myself

making better decisions, even slowly

choosing growth, even when it's uncomfortable

This is because real progress isn't always visible to everyone.

But it's always happening. If you're paying attention, you'd notice.

So… how is 2026 going?

If I had to answer honestly:

A little progress, quiet but real.

A little chaos, uncomfortable but necessary.

A lot of thinking, sometimes heavy, but very meaningful.

It's not been perfect or fully clear.

But, it's not wasted either.

Maybe this year isn't about having it all figured out, maybe it's about becoming the person who eventually will.

So, how is 2026 going for you?

I'd like to hear from you all .

Cheers!

I love your take on the year so far… not everything is visible, but that doesn’t mean it’s not working :-)
