She Wasn’t Alone — She Never Had Been Part 5
It wasn’t breaking into the house… it had always been there.
Claire couldn’t move.
Not because she didn’t want to.
Because she couldn’t.
Her body no longer listened.
The pressure around her neck tightened.
Slow.
Controlled.
Deliberate.
The phone slipped from her hand.
But she barely noticed.
Her focus was somewhere else now.
Inside.
Something was changing.
Her breathing slowed.
Not naturally.
Not hers.
And then—
The grip disappeared.
Just like that.
Claire gasped and stumbled forward.
Air rushed into her lungs.
Sharp.
Painful.
Real.
She collapsed against the wall.
Her heart racing wildly again.
“It’s gone…” she whispered.
Silence.
Nothing moved.
Nothing followed.
Slowly…
she lifted her head.
The hallway was empty.
The phone lay on the floor.
Dark.
Dead.
Everything felt normal again.
Too normal.
Claire pushed herself up.
Her legs shaky.
Her mind still spinning.
“I need to get out…” she said quietly.
She turned toward the stairs.
And froze.
At the end of the hallway—
The window reflected her.
But this time—
Her reflection didn’t look scared.
It didn’t look relieved.
It didn’t look like her at all.
It looked calm.
Still.
Watching.
Claire took a step back.
The reflection didn’t move.
Claire’s breath caught.
Slowly…
her reflection smiled.
A smile she didn’t feel.
And then—
It spoke.
Without sound.
Without movement.
Directly into her mind.
“I didn’t come into your house.”
The smile widened.
“I woke up in it.”

Nightfox Reports: Reach Out and Touch Someone’s Mind
With my typical wide view I have spotted some more strangeness in the news as reports have been appearing across the country for the last week or two of people getting into accidents after running out into the street and attempting to attack passing cars with their bare hands or whatever improvised weapons they could grab. Several of them have been killed, struck down by the car they attacked or another vehicle streaking by. In a couple of cases people were struck by trains while apparently attack the tracks or the train cars with axes and shovels. One elderly woman was struck by a plane at Heathrow Airport as it took off. Witnesses say she was swinging at the landing gear with a garden hoe.
