I watch her walk out the door as Mr. Author tell her, her time is up I drink in her image one last time because I know in my soul I won't see her again. She finally disappears from my view andI break down, my whole world began and ended all at once. I know sleep won't come to me tonight so I sit down in my cell until the sunlight shines through the window burning my tired eyes as I hear footsteps echoing off the walls as I straighten my spine to see Mr. Walker appear around the corner in full military uniform as he takes a deep breath like he wanted to steak his claim on all the oxygen in the room as he says Mr. Thomas, I stand in attention trying to act like none of my confidence has wavered as I say back Mr. Walker.

His eyes are cold as river stones and his face lacked emotion and I can't help but to feel chills up my spine as we both stand there in silence both trying to predict each other's movements either of us wanting to be caught off guard by one other but he's the one to break the silence and ask how long have you been seeing my daughter? I would have rather him beat me than to ask me these types of questions that I know are gonna piss him off but I digress as I blow out a breath and ay since you left sir.

He nods as his jaw tightens and I feel the dread fall over me as he asks have you and her....His question trails off as what he means hits me and my eyes widen as I put up my hands and say oh no sir! He blows out a breath or relief as he nods and then asks you understand why I have to do this? A flash of guilt covers is eyes for just a moment as I think to myself no I don't understand how the punishment for loving his daughter is to fight a war but I don't dare to question it and I just look at him and say yes sir I understand.

He nods as he asks one more thing did you love her? I think about his question for a moment and decide that I might as well be honest because death is gonna find me at the hands of Mr. Walker regardless. I nod as I say I love her more than I could ever image loving someone Mr. Walker. I watch him tense up again as he says good then you'll fight for her. He unlocks the cell and walks me out.
